The Organization

The Pentecostal World Fellowship is a cooperative body of Pentecostal churches and groups around the world by mutual agreement. It is not a legislative body of a national entity, but is a compromise coalition with the advance of the Gospel to the ends of the Earth and therefore functions as a service agent for :

1. Intercede for each other.
2. To support and encourage each other in evangelism and missions task.
3. Promoting Christian fellowship and cooperation among Pentecostals worldwide . Provide consultation and cooperation means between members and related agencies.
4. Share mutual concerns and ideas related to spiritual matters and crucial time for the Church.
5. Administer aid in times of crisis.
6. Promote the exchange of personnel in special service areas.
7. Disclose useful information and statistics updated for the benefit of the Church.
8. Position yourself to the world and governments in defense of the faith , social justice and the persecuted believers.

  • Rev Tan Sri Dr Prince Guneratnam (Malaysia)

    Dr. Prince Guneratnam is the senior pastor of Calvary Church, a strong missions church that meets at the Calvary Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was re-elected as the PWF Chairman for a second term in August 2013. Due to his distinctive services as the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God of Malaysia, a position held from 1974-2000, he was conferred the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God of Malaysia Emeritus in 2003. In 2009, Dr Guneratnam was honoured by the King of Malaysia and given the honorific title, “Tan Sri.”

  • Dr. José Wellington Bezerra da Costa (Brazil)

    Dr. Jose Wellington is the Superintendent of the General Council of the Assemblies of God in Brazil (CGADB) and represents the leadership of over half of the Pentecostal population of the country. He is also the Senior Pastor of the Assembly of God Bethlehem Ministry and has been in the church’s leadership since 1980, when he broadened the reach of the ministry throughout the world by arriving in the USA and the major countries of Europe and Oceania. Pastor Wellington is also an author with many published books; has three bachelors degrees in Theology, Law, and Sociology; and two doctorates honoris causa in Divinity.

  • Dr. Isak Burger (South Africa)

    Dr. Isak Burger has been serving as the President of the Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa (AFM of SA) since 1988. The AFM of SA is the largest and oldest Pentecostal Church in South Africa with 1.4 million members, started by John G. Lake in 1908. Dr Burger has authored several top-selling Christian books. He was elected as Vice-Chairman of the Pentecostal World Fellowship on 24 August 2010 and re-elected to the same post in August 2013.

  • Dr. Matthew K. Thomas (India)

    Dr. Matthew K. Thomas serves as President of the Fellowship of the Pentecostal Churches, Central India Theological Seminary, Anna Ladies Bible College, House of Hope I & II, Mercy Clinic and Central India Vocational Training Center. He is a Global Cabinet member of Empowered 21 and also in the Board of Reference of the Oral Roberts University. He was elected as Secretary of the Pentecostal World Fellowship on 24 August 2010 and re-elected again in August 2013.

  • Rev. Ingolf Ellssel (Germany)

    Dr. Ingolf Ellssel, born on 3.9.1954 in South-Germany/ Oberkirch. He has been the pastor of : Christus-Centrum-Tostedt/Hamburg (CCT) since 1979. He served as the Superintendent of the Pentecostal Movement in Germany (BFP) from 1996-2008. He was appointed as the Chairman of Pentecostal Movement in Europe (PEF) from 2001 - 2013 . In 2013 he was conferred with the title of the Honorary Chairman of the PEF. In 2013 he was appointed the Chairman of the “International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem.” Dr Ingolf is married to Sigrid and they have 5 children and 10 grandchildren.

  • Dr. David Wells (Canada)

    Dr David Wells is the General Superintendent of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada which has over 1,100 affiliated churches in Canada, and 3,500 credentialed ministers with a constituency of over 235,000 people. Internationally the PAOC has close to 300 workers serving in over fifty nations. Rev Wells has also served as a chaplain for Canada’s Olympic teams and Commonwealth Games teams. He has pastored several churches and is past Chair of the Board for the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada.

  • Rev. Ong Sek Leang (Malaysia)

    Rev. Ong Sek Leang, is the founding pastor of Metro Tabernacle, Kuala Lumpur, where he served as Senior Pastor for more than 30 years since 1982. He is also serving as the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God of Malaysia.

  • Rev. Pelle Hornmark (Sweden)

    Rev. Pelle Hornmark, is the current general superintendent of the Swedish Pentecostal Movement. This movement is currently coordinates made up of 450 Swedish churches. In addition to this, the movement is also reaching out through media and drug rehabilitation programs and is very active in worldwide missionary work.

  • Dr. Glenn Burris Jr (USA)

    As president of The Foursquare Church, Dr Glenn Burris serves nearly 2000 congregations and 7000 licensed ministers in the United States as well as partnering with national leaders in 147 countries who minister in more than 65,000 local Foursquare churches worldwide. Though his office is based in Los Angeles, California, Glenn travels frequently, keeping in close contact with those he serves. Dr Burris’s passion for church planting is evidenced by the 200 congregations birthed between 1992 and 2002, when he served as supervisor of the 10-state historic Southeast District. He has also served as president of LIFE Bible College East, a member of the Foursquare Cabinet and chairman of the Foursquare Board of Directors.

  • Bishop Elisiário dos Santos (Brazil)

    Bishop Elisiário dos Santos, exercised pastoral ministry for nineteen year, been elected bishop in order to organize the Third Region Ecclesiastical, with headquarters in Sao Paulo, where it remained for 23 years. After this period took the Superintendency of First Ecclesiastical region, with headquarters in the city of Petropolis, RJ, He developed the episcopate for five years. Currently, is ahead of the Second Ecclesiastical Region, headquartered in Belo Horizonte, MG. It is noteworthy that in these last eighteen years also exercised the General Superintendent of the Methodist Church functions Wesleyan and the Presidency of the Episcopal College.

  • Rev. Mário de Oliveira (Brazil)

    Rev. Mario de Oliveira, son of Antenor de Oliveira and Margarida Oliveira Genaro, converted to the Church of the Foursquare Gospel, came to minister to assist in Adamantina at age 19 after spending his childhood in Bauru. In 1986 he graduated in Theology by the Brazilian Institute of Foursquare in Sao Paulo and in the course of his missionary life preached in Assis and in Rio Grande do Sul state to secure housing in Belo Horizonte in 1971 where he founded a temple his church and presented programs on Radio Inconfidência and Radio Itatiaia after Juiz de Fora return. By virtue of their professional duties was executive secretary of the State Administrative Assistance of the Foursquare Gospel Church, member of the National Board of Directors of the Foursquare Gospel Church, founder of Women Recovery Houses and Young Addicts Foursquare Gospel Church and director-editor of the Journal Foursquare. In 2008 he was elected president of the National Directors of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Brazil Council and re-elected in 2012.

  • Rev. Leonardo Meyer (Brazil)

    Pastor Leonardo Meyer has accepted Jesus at 9 years of age being baptized in the Holy Spirit at 14 years old. He got married to the Pr Nércia Vaz de Almeida Meyer in December 1977 and from that union were born three daughters - Natália, with a grandchild Matheus, Priscilla and Deborah. He was dedicated to pastoral ministry in February 1981 at 28 years old and he was the pastor in various churches of his ministry. he was elected president of the United Church and of Brazilian United Convention, taking possession in February 2004, position currently held. With these functions he has as main responsibility the leadership on the pastors and the administration of the denomination in Brazil, Argentina, Nigeria, Japan and Italy

  • Rev. Expedito Ferreira de Melo (Brazil)

    Born on September 16, 1951 in the city of Garanhuns, Pernambuco, Brazil. Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Arts and Religion by S. L. 1 .; degree in Religious Education and Postgraduate degree in Theology by the National Baptist Seminary of Recife; Master of Divinity from Church of God Theological Seminary; Doctor of Ministry by V. l. University; Ph.D. in theology from SATS; Couching Professional Systemic the FCU; Team Alignment course by Haggai Institute Hawaii. Ministerially he served as National Director of Youth; local pastor for 12 years; Director of SEID (Evangelical Seminary of the Church of God in Brazil); President PLANAFID (Ministerial Assistance Plan of the Church of God); professor of theology for more than 30 years; regional supervisor of the Church of God in the Midwest; Church's regional supervisor of God in the Central Region, where he developed and implemented projects to implement new church, generating significant growth for the Kingdom of God in these regions; International acts as speaker having taught at conferences in several countries in Latin America, the United States, Europe, Africa and also at conferences all Brazilian states. Currently serves as National Superintendent of the Igreja de Deus no Brasil.

  • Rev. Mika Yrjola (Finland)

    Pastor Mika Yrjölä is the Senior Pastor of Helsinki Saalem Church, the largest Pentecostal church in Finland. Born to missionary parents in Singapore in 1971, he grew up in Indonesia, and has had an international focus in his life since the beginning. He received his call to ministry at the age of 12 in a lifeboat in the middle of Java Sea, after their ship had sunk in a storm. He is married to Rommy, originally from the United States, whom he met while studying at Elim Bible Institute Lima, NY. They have 4 children and as a family they have 11 passports. Pastor Mika is a popular international speaker, mobilizing young people to missions and helping churches in bridging the generational and cultural gap.

  • Dr. William Wilson (USA)

    Dr William Wilson is the President of the Oral Roberts University. He also serves as the Executive Director of the International Center for Spiritual Renewal which is facilitating Empowered21, bringing together leaders, scholars, and next-generation voices to address issues in the Spirit-empowered movement. He is the host of the weekly television program World Impact with Billy Wilson, which is seen in over 170 nations. Currently, he also serves as chair of the Awakening America Alliance, which is in partnership with the Mission America coalition (Lausanne USA) uniting Evangelicals, Charismatics and Pentecostals for a national Christ awakening.

  • Dr. George O. Wood (USA)

    Dr. George O. Wood is the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, USA which has 12,750 congregations in the United States with some 3 million members and adherents. Dr Wood is also the chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship which has a membership of over sixty-six million. He has authored of a number of books including: A Psalm In Your Heart, Living In the Spirit, Road Trip Leadership, Living Fully, The Successful Life, and a college text book on the book of Acts.

  • Dr. Lee Younghoon (Korea)

    Dr Lee Younghoon is the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God of Korea. He also serves Yoido Full Gospel Church as the Senior Pastor. Anticipating the continuous church revival in Korea, he leads the Holy Spirit Movement and the Church Unity Movement. He emphasizes the Holy Spirit-Baptism, Christian sanctification, inner healing, and fruit-bearing life. Dr Lee also urges his people to live by Spirit-filled faith, centered on the Cross of Jesus. Under the leadership of servant hood within the church, he aims to steer the church in the direction of serving the underprivileged, bringing about change in society.

  • Bishop Charles E. Blake (USA)

    Bishop Blake is the pastor of West Angeles Church of God in Christ, one of the largest churches in the Western United States, with a membership of over 25,000. He is recognized as one of the great preachers of this generation with a message that ministers to the whole person and brings together people of various racial and ethnic backgrounds. Charles E. Blake, was elected Presiding Bishop, the seventh in succession, by the General Assembly of the Church of God in Christ, Incorporated, on November 12, 2007. At the 101st Holy Convocation, during the quadrennial election in 2007, Bishop Blake was re-elected as Presiding Bishop, as well as again re-elected in 2012 for another four-year term.

  • Bishop Dag Heward-Mills (Ghana)

    Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, known for the grace to challenge many to do the work of ministry, is also the founder and Presiding Bishop of the Lighthouse Chapel International (LCI), a worldwide denomination with over one thousand, two hundred churches in fifty-two countries. In his Healing Jesus Crusades, many receive salvation through Jesus Christ as he preaches the gospel under the anointing of the Holy Spirit: the gospel is preached, the lame walk, the blind see and the deaf hear. He has authored many books, including the best selling “Loyalty and Disloyalty,” and he also holds ‘Work of Ministry’ conferences all over the world.

    Daniel Kolenda is a missionary evangelist who has led more than 17-million people to Christ face-to face through massive open-air evangelistic campaigns in some of the most dangerous, difficult and remote locations on earth.  He is an author, husband, father of 4 children and, as the successor to Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, he is the President of Christ for all Nations.

    Reinhard Willi Gottfried Bonnke is a German Pentecostal evangelist, principally known for his gospel missions throughout Africa. Bonnke has been an evangelist and missionary in Africa since 1967. Bonnke has had 75 million recorded decisions for Christ made during his crusades. He has preached the gospel to more people than anyone in history.
