The Organization

The Pentecostal World Fellowship is a cooperative body of Pentecostal churches and groups around the world by mutual agreement. It is not a legislative body of a national entity, but is a compromise coalition with the advance of the Gospel to the ends of the Earth and therefore functions as a service agent for :

1. Intercede for each other.
2. To support and encourage each other in evangelism and missions task.
3. Promoting Christian fellowship and cooperation among Pentecostals worldwide . Provide consultation and cooperation means between members and related agencies.
4. Share mutual concerns and ideas related to spiritual matters and crucial time for the Church.
5. Administer aid in times of crisis.
6. Promote the exchange of personnel in special service areas.
7. Disclose useful information and statistics updated for the benefit of the Church.
8. Position yourself to the world and governments in defense of the faith , social justice and the persecuted believers.

  • Rev Tan Sri Dr Prince Guneratnam (Malaysia)


    Dr. Prince Guneratnam is the senior pastor of Calvary Church, a strong missions church that meets at the Calvary Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was re-elected as the PWF Chairman for a second term in August 2013. Due to his distinctive services as the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God of Malaysia, a position held from 1974-2000, he was conferred the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God of Malaysia Emeritus in 2003. In 2009, Dr Guneratnam was honoured by the King of Malaysia and given the honorific title, “Tan Sri.”

  • Dr. Isak Burger (South Africa)


    Dr. Isak Burger has been serving as the President of the Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa (AFM of SA) since 1988. The AFM of SA is the largest and oldest Pentecostal Church in South Africa with 1.4 million members, started by John G. Lake in 1908. Dr Burger has authored several top-selling Christian books. He was elected as Vice-Chairman of the Pentecostal World Fellowship on 24 August 2010 and re-elected to the same post in August 2013.

  • Dr. Matthew K. Thomas (India)


    Dr. Matthew K. Thomas serves as President of the Fellowship of the Pentecostal Churches, Central India Theological Seminary, Anna Ladies Bible College, House of Hope I & II, Mercy Clinic and Central India Vocational Training Center. He is a Global Cabinet member of Empowered 21 and also in the Board of Reference of the Oral Roberts University. He was elected as Secretary of the Pentecostal World Fellowship on 24 August 2010 and re-elected again in August 2013.

  • Rev. Ingolf Ellssel (Germany)

    Committee Member

    Dr. Ingolf Ellssel, born on 3.9.1954 in South-Germany/ Oberkirch. He has been the pastor of : Christus-Centrum-Tostedt/Hamburg (CCT) since 1979. He served as the Superintendent of the Pentecostal Movement in Germany (BFP) from 1996-2008. He was appointed as the Chairman of Pentecostal Movement in Europe (PEF) from 2001 - 2013 . In 2013 he was conferred with the title of the Honorary Chairman of the PEF. In 2013 he was appointed the Chairman of the “International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem.” Dr Ingolf is married to Sigrid and they have 5 children and 10 grandchildren.

  • Bishop Dag Heward-Mills (Ghana)

    Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, known for the grace to challenge many to do the work of ministry, is also the founder and Presiding Bishop of the Lighthouse Chapel International (LCI), a worldwide denomination with over one thousand, two hundred churches in fifty-two countries. In his Healing Jesus Crusades, many receive salvation through Jesus Christ as he preaches the gospel under the anointing of the Holy Spirit: the gospel is preached, the lame walk, the blind see and the deaf hear. He has authored many books, including the best selling “Loyalty and Disloyalty,” and he also holds ‘Work of Ministry’ conferences all over the world.

  • Dr. David Wells (Canada)

    Dr David Wells is the General Superintendent of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada which has over 1,100 affiliated churches in Canada, and 3,500 credentialed ministers with a constituency of over 235,000 people. Internationally the PAOC has close to 300 workers serving in over fifty nations. Rev Wells has also served as a chaplain for Canada’s Olympic teams and Commonwealth Games teams. He has pastored several churches and is past Chair of the Board for the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada.

    Committee Member

    Dr William Wilson is the President of the Oral Roberts University. He also serves as the Executive Director of the International Center for Spiritual Renewal which is facilitating Empowered21, bringing together leaders, scholars, and next-generation voices to address issues in the Spirit-empowered movement. He is the host of the weekly television program World Impact with Billy Wilson, which is seen in over 170 nations. Currently, he also serves as chair of the Awakening America Alliance, which is in partnership with the Mission America coalition (Lausanne USA) uniting Evangelicals, Charismatics and Pentecostals for a national Christ awakening.

    Dr. Arto Hämäläinen is the Executive Director Emeritus of Fida International (Finnish Pentecostal Mission Organization), Chairman of Pentecostal European Fellowship (PEF), Chairman of Pentecostal European Mission (PEM), Chairman of World Missions Commission of Pentecostal World Fellowship (PWF), Member of the Lead Team of World Missions Commission (WMC) of World Assemblies of God (WAGF), Member of Advisory Committee of PWF, Member of Executive Council of WAGF, Member of the Global Cabinet and European Cabinet of Empowered 21, Adjunct Professor of Missions of Global University, Holder of Arto Hämäläinen Chair of Mission Studies in CTS, Lecturer in Iso Kirja Pentecostal College in Finland, Mission trainings in about 30 different countries, author of several books about world missions.

  • Rev. Donavan Ng (Hong Kong)

    Rev. Donavan Ng is the Field Superintendent in Hong Kong of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) and the sole representative from the Asian Region to the Presiding Bishop’s Cabinet of IPHC, which has operations in over 90 nations around the globe. Rev. Ng has been the Consultant Pastor of Wing Kwong Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hong Kong since 2006. He also serves as a Councilor of the Divinity School of Chung Chi College, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and currently a Board of Director of the Chinese Graduate School of Theology.

  • Dr. Ernest Komanapalli (India)

    Dr. Ernest Komanapalli is the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Manna Group of Ministries. In addition to being Senior Pastor of Manna Millennium Worship Center, he is the Presiding Bishop of churches in the Manna Group. The Manna Group reaches out to India and other nations through 1,400 congregations with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Believing that the Gospel touches body, mind and spirit; they bring God’s compassionate love to people in dire need through child care, rural development, education, catastrophic aid and medical relief.

  • Rev Richard Ciaramitaro (Canada)

    Rev Rick Ciaramitaro has been the senior pastor of Windsor Christian Fellowship in Windsor Ontario for the past 31 years. He is passionate about churches working together to impact the local community by helping the poor and providing resources to strengthen marriages and families. He has been given the title Apostle of Reconciliation from some ministers in his city and nation because of his passion to see the churches of Canada work in unity to fulfill their prophetic destiny. Rev Ciaramitaro oversees a network of churches called Open Bible Faith Fellowship with over 500 active ministers and 170 churches.

    Dr. George O. Wood is the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, USA which has 12,750 congregations in the United States with some 3 million members and adherents. Dr Wood is also the chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship which has a membership of over sixty-six million. He has authored of a number of books including: A Psalm In Your Heart, Living In the Spirit, Road Trip Leadership, Living Fully, The Successful Life, and a college text book on the book of Acts.

  • Dr. David Mohan (India)

    Dr. David Mohan is the Senior Pastor and founder of New Life Assembly of God (NLAG) in Chennai (Madras), which grew from seven people to 40,000 people in the last thirty years. Dr. Mohan is the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God of India, which has 8,000 churches as well as being Vice Chairman of the World Assemblies of God. He is also Chairman of the Indian National Prayer and Church Planting Initiative and serves on the Board of Directors of Church Growth International.

  • Rev. Makoto Hosoi (Japan)

    Rev. Makoto Hosoi is the Pastor of Jujo Christ Church in Tokyo. He has been serving as the General Superintendent of the Japan Assemblies of God since 2009. He is also the Chairman of the Japan Pentecostal Council and the Moderator of the Japan Pentecostal Network, which facilitates networking among Pentecostal churches and organizations in Japan. He is one of the Board Member of the Japan Evangelical Association.

  • Rev. Ong Sek Leang (Malaysia)

    Rev. Ong Sek Leang, is the founding pastor of Metro Tabernacle, Kuala Lumpur, where he served as Senior Pastor for more than 30 years since 1982. He is also serving as the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God of Malaysia.

  • Rev. Pelle Hornmark (Sweden)

    Rev. Pelle Hornmark, is the current general superintendent of the Swedish Pentecostal Movement. This movement is currently coordinates made up of 450 Swedish churches. In addition to this, the movement is also reaching out through media and drug rehabilitation programs and is very active in worldwide missionary work.

  • Dr. José Wellington Bezerra da Costa (Brazil)

    Dr. Jose Wellington is the Superintendent of the General Council of the Assemblies of God in Brazil (CGADB) and represents the leadership of over half of the Pentecostal population of the country. He is also the Senior Pastor of the Assembly of God Bethlehem Ministry and has been in the church’s leadership since 1980, when he broadened the reach of the ministry throughout the world by arriving in the USA and the major countries of Europe and Oceania. Pastor Wellington is also an author with many published books; has three bachelors degrees in Theology, Law, and Sociology; and two doctorates honoris causa in Divinity.

  • Rev. Wayne Alcorn (Australia)

    Rev. Wayne Alcorn is the Senior Minister of City Church, a growing multi-campus, multi-cultural church in Queensland’s south-east corner. His leadership responsibilities include his role as National President of the Australian Christian Churches. With over 30 years of experience in both church and welfare work, Rev Alcorn has great insight into the needs of people from all walks of life. His genuine concern for people is displayed in the value he places on each individual and his desire to see them achieve their goals in life and ministry.

  • Bishop Mark L Williams (USA)

    Bishop Mark Williams serves as General Overseer for the Church of God, the highest leadership role in the denomination. Elected to the post in 2012, Williams previously served as second assistant general overseer from 2008-2012. Bishop Williams holds a Bachelor’s Degree and the Doctor of Divinity Degree from Lee University, M.Div. from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, and is a D. Min. candidate at the Seminary. He is married to Sandra Kay, and they have two sons, Austin and Ryan.

  • Rev. John Partington (United Kingdom)

    Rev John Partington has been a Pastor and Apostolic Leader for over 40 years in both the United Kingdom and oversees. Following on from the role of Senior Associate Pastor in one of Adelaide’s largest churches, Rev Partington was appointed to National Leader of the Assemblies of God Fellowship and has served in this role since May 2009, bringing fresh vision and purpose to the churches in the United Kingdom.

  • Dr. Lee Younghoon (Korea)

    Dr Lee Younghoon is the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God of Korea. He also serves Yoido Full Gospel Church as the Senior Pastor. Anticipating the continuous church revival in Korea, he leads the Holy Spirit Movement and the Church Unity Movement. He emphasizes the Holy Spirit-Baptism, Christian sanctification, inner healing, and fruit-bearing life. Dr Lee also urges his people to live by Spirit-filled faith, centered on the Cross of Jesus. Under the leadership of servant hood within the church, he aims to steer the church in the direction of serving the underprivileged, bringing about change in society.

  • Rev. Ruben Salomone (Argentina)

    Rev Ruben Salomone is the president of Federacion Confraternidad Evangelica Pentecostal (Argentina). He is a pastor in Buenos Aires and has planted 12 churches in 39 years of ministry. Rev Salomone graduated with a Masters in Arts in Church Ministries in the Church of God Seminary at Cleveland, TN, USA. He is a professor at Seminary Iglesia de Dios en Argentina, and conducts conferences in Argentina, Europe, North and South America, and the Carribean. He was also National Bishop in Church of God in Argentina from 2000-2008, President in ACIERA (Alianza de Iglesias Evangelicas) and vice-president in Sociedad Biblica Argentina.

    Dr Doug Beacham is the Presiding Bishop of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. IPHC serves Christ in 100 nations and has nearly 2 million members world-wide. Beacham has authored several books, including “Plugged In To God’s Power” (Charisma House); “Rediscovering the Role of Apostles and Prophets” (LifeSprings Resources); “Azuza East: The Life and Times of G.B. Cashwell” (LifeSprings Resources); and “The Christmas Spirit: Stories for Children, Stories from the Manger, Stories for Grown-Ups” (LifeSprings Resources).

  • Rev. Dominic Yeo (Singapore)

    Rev Dominic Yeo is the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God (AG), Singapore, Chairman of the Asia Pacific AG Fellowship and the Executive Council Member of the World AG Fellowship. He is also the Senior Pastor of Trinity Christian Centre in Singapore with over 7,000 in weekly attendance. Known for his visionary and strategic leadership, he is passionate about building pastors and leaders. He trains and provides consultation to churches globally, helping them break into new levels of growth.

  • Dr. Glenn Burris Jr (USA)

    As president of The Foursquare Church, Dr Glenn Burris serves nearly 2000 congregations and 7000 licensed ministers in the United States as well as partnering with national leaders in 147 countries who minister in more than 65,000 local Foursquare churches worldwide. Though his office is based in Los Angeles, California, Glenn travels frequently, keeping in close contact with those he serves. Dr Burris’s passion for church planting is evidenced by the 200 congregations birthed between 1992 and 2002, when he served as supervisor of the 10-state historic Southeast District. He has also served as president of LIFE Bible College East, a member of the Foursquare Cabinet and chairman of the Foursquare Board of Directors.

    Rev. Mitré DJAKOUTI has been an Assemblies of God pastor for 38 years and serves as the General Superintendent of the Togo Assemblies of God since 1987. During his leadership the number of local churches has grown from 187 to 1,037, the number of pastors from 103 to 802, and the membership from 2,350 to 200,350. Rev. DJAKOUTI’s leadership in Togo has been characterized by training of pastors and laymen. West Africa Advanced School of Theology, a regional school of West and Central Africa is located in Lomé, Togo with an enrollment of over 600 pastors. The Alliance of the Assemblies of God of Africa elected Rev. Mitre DJAKOUTI as its General Superintendent of Africa in February 2013.

  • Bishop Elisiário dos Santos (Brazil)

    Bishop Elisiário dos Santos, exercised pastoral ministry for nineteen year, been elected bishop in order to organize the Third Region Ecclesiastical, with headquarters in Sao Paulo, where it remained for 23 years. After this period took the Superintendency of First Ecclesiastical region, with headquarters in the city of Petropolis, RJ, He developed the episcopate for five years. Currently, is ahead of the Second Ecclesiastical Region, headquartered in Belo Horizonte, MG. It is noteworthy that in these last eighteen years also exercised the General Superintendent of the Methodist Church functions Wesleyan and the Presidency of the Episcopal College.

    Pastor Jack Hayford is the founder and Chancellor of The Kings University in Los Angeles, CA. Pastor Hayford is the founding pastor of The Church On The Way in Van Nuys, CA. He is a prolific and best-selling author, who has penned more than 52 books and composed 600 hymns and choruses.

  • Dr. David Yonggi Cho (Korea)

    Dr David Yonggi Cho is the founder and Senior Pastor Emeritus of Yoido Full Gospel Church Korea, the world’s largest congregation with a membership of more than 1,000,000. He is also Chairman of Church Growth International which he founded in November 1976. It is an interdenominational ministry dedicated to teaching the principles of evangelism, all aspects of church growth and to promote love and unity in the Body of Christ.
